I hoard journals from Papaya Art. I love them and have a large collection.
What Got You Started Jewelry Crafting?
I started in 06′ making jewelry part time to have a creative outlet. I started buying and reading books and trying out different mediums before finding that I loved metalsmithing. I did wire work, PMC, enameling, and resin work as part of my growth process. There’s something about lighting a torch and working with fire to create great simple pieces.
How and/or Where Do You Sell Your Jewelry?
I sell my jewelry online at www.andreabonelli.com. I used to do a lot of craft shows in San Francisco but now that I’m working with 14kt Gold and Diamonds I would need an assistant to help me watch my pieces so I’m holding off on doing more shows until then.
What Is Your Source of Inspiration?
The things around me every day inspire me. I make what I would wear so everything that I sell is for my taste.
Why Handmade Jewelry?
Why not? I hate the mass produced, lead filled junk that you can find imported from certain countries that fill most stores. No thank you. I wanted to make my own jewelry because I didn’t want to support those types of products.
